“管理学院HRM新知论坛”是管理学院人力资源管理系创办的学术系列论坛,邀请来自人力资源管理领域学有专长的学者就重大理论与实践问题进行报告、对话和沟通,以期为师生们提供学术和实践前沿的分享交流平台。
 
主题: No security: Recent Developments on Antecedents, Moderators, and Outcomes of Employee Job Insecurity
摘要: Today’s organizations face great changes, challenges and threats (e.g., technological advances, global competition) that have a significant impact on employees’ daily work lives. Employees tend to feel more insecure about their job future in the organization and their psychological well-being and somatic health may deteriorate over time due to the feelings of job insecurity. In this talk, I will introduce the recent developments on the job insecurity research and discuss how to address the challenge of helping employees cope with job insecurity while at the same time engaging them at work.

Haijiang Wang is an associate professor at the School of Management, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China. He received his PhD from Eindhoven University of Technology in 2017 and his master from Peking University in 2011. His research on job insecurity was published in Journal of Applied PsychologyEuropean Journal of Work and Organizational PsychologyJournal of Vocational Behavior, and Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology.
